• Question: why do coke and mentos have that reaction when they make contact? (I apologise if I frased that question weirdly)

When you open a bottle of coke the pressure in the bottle decreases and CO2 comes out of solution. It will form bubbles on any available surface. Mentos mints are rough and dissolve quickly, making lots of extra surface area for the CO2 bubbles to form, in a very short space of time.
