      Everything.
I am fascinated how a collection of neurons can process something complex like a face and there is one neutron they all talk to and it is the one that says if the face is Hugh Jackman or not Hugh Jackman.
My own work investigates how when we hear something that information goes our auditory cortex (the area of the brain for sound) but also some of it goes to our visual cortex (the area of the brain for vision). This means we can see what we hear and we can also hear a bit of what we see, which is great as in a noisy room we can look at someones lips and this helps us understand what they are saying.
