Being a scientist is really exciting. Every day is different. Fair enough, part of my job (part of any job) includes some less exciting or less interesting parts, but most of it is really interesting and challenging and there is a lot of fun. The best parts of my job are fieldwork and doing analyses. There’s nothing like the sense of excitement when you find a fossil in the field, or look at something with a microscope that no-one has ever seen before. You really feel like you are discovering things – like being an explorer! I love my job and I love going into work every day.
