The extreme loss of sodium can trigger symptoms ranging from muscle cramps, nausea, vomiting, and dizziness to shock, coma, and death. So we can’t survive without sodium.

From headaches through to heart attack if untreated. Sodium is critical to maintaining the normal electrolyte balance in blood and our cytosol (the liquid surrounding our cells).
