Question: Will there ever be an official cure for cancer?

Some cancers have ‘cures’ – for instance the HPV vaccine protects against cervical cancer because we know that cancer is caused by an infection with the HPV virus.

For many other cancers, our diagnostics have become much better, and public awareness campaigns are really important because they prompt people to get early warning symptoms checked out.

Lots of medical researchers are working on different types of anti-cancer drugs that immobilise the cancer cells.
